30. Meridien Landmark

Melike Altinisik Architects won the first prize to design 30. Meridian Landmark. The design of the 322 square foot artistic landmark provided coherence between its flowing design harmonious pathways inside the park area. The design has an incredibly unique aesthetics that makes visitors feel a part of its greatness by being able to walk under the landmark, which is designed to represent the 30th Meridian. Moreover, the design includes a symbolic map of the world above the ground with a special illumination system that illuminates all the major cities, along with a map of the latitude- longitude covering the ground. Thus, visitors will be able to get detailed information on the map of the world.

Role: Lead Design Development Specialist, Project Director

Responsible for the direction and communication of the project’s overarching design in collaboration with the principal architect and local municipalities; expertly applied knowledge of building technology, building materials, and construction methods to procure optimal selection of construction materials to ensure the project’s design aesthetic, fluidity, cohesiveness, and structural integrity; and prepared material and renderings for the project’s presentation to the public.
