Kizilirmak Bridge is a vehicle bridge that interacts with the pedestrian and cycling routes on the Kizilirmak River. Melike Altinisik Architects won the first prize to design the bridge in a manner to support the pedestrian movement and vehicle transportation on the bridge, whilst also blending the bridge with its local surroundings. The Melike Altinisik Architects’ 2,152 square foot design proposal created an avant-garde design approach that obtained coherency and harmonizes the bridge with its topography.
